If they left their home? Would the baby be taken away?

Why would a 17 year old want there own council house with a baby unless they was in desperate need?
I would much prefer to be at home with my parents if I could and my parents was supportive

Sorry last post wasn't aimed at op. Was asking @MrsWrex

Sparrowlegs248 · 19/05/2017 21:33

funny it's just the way things used to be done. Get pregnant, get a house.

Serowe72 · 19/05/2017 21:35

Do you have some place safe to stay tonight?

SparklyMagpie · 19/05/2017 22:42

MrsWrex should be ashamed, nothing to be proud of. And not appropriate on the OP's post

Under the Children's Act 1989, a 17 year old mother would be eligible for help with housing through social services. She would be assessed as a 'child in need' and may be offered help with a private rental, teenage parent hostel or specialist foster care where she and her baby stay within a family setting.
