I really don't know what to do , mum to 4 children I came out a long term mental abusive marriage 8 months ago now I have met this wonderful man but my ex will not let me go .. is causing all sorts of trouble , can I ever be free to be happy , I don't want to hurt my new friend with issues with my ex but he is a single dad to 5 children , I feel so lost .. how can I get ex leave me alone to be happy in the 1st time in 20yrs

What is your Ex doing exactly?
If he's harassing you then report him to the police.
Have you had any support from Womens Aid?
If not then call them. They can put you in touch with local support services who can help you with restraining orders etc....

It takes many forms my ex won't leave me be but it's not provable ie he can tell me everything I got up to for the last six months or more but as someone in the street has told him I can't get him for harassment he will buy things like my new phone for Christmas if I complain he beats that it's a gift from our children and they would be heartbroken if I rejected it buying games consoles and dvds for "the kids" but they are for me really

All this and more screams to me he won't let me go but I can't prove a dam thing is wrong

Police are not interested unless its physical and I haven't any proof just what he has said in person .. then what he wrote on Facebook he deleted before I can get a screen shot threating to kill the guy I being talking too .. it a mess , why can't they just let go ☹️

Personally I think no dating whatsoever would be a good idea and some help from women's aid.

Block your ex on social media for a start. How does he even know you are seeing someone?

Mine is blocked he still knows what I'm doing I don't even put stuff on social media anymore he still knows it's like having a spy
