Single/happy/then the wine

Hi all.

Been happily single for a few years, don't get lonely. Miss my gorgeous DC's at the weekend but make the best of my time alone.

So when I have 1 glass of wine why do I start feeling all insecure and lonely? LOL. I suppose alcohol is a depressant isn't it.

At least I've got Come Dine with Me to watch!

I'm with you OP! Currently sat feeling tipsy and a bit sad and lonely after one glass too!

dudsville · 30/04/2017 19:10

Put your music on and sing with the wine op!

LookingThroughGaryGilmoresEyes · 30/04/2017 19:10

That's because you've only had one.

I find it seems to matter less after the second...

Hi fellow singleodians!

But I'm a lightweight, I can't handle two!!

I always start texting people I've not contacted for a few years, and then wonder why I don't get replies....

Dustbunnies, are you normally happy single? And where does that name come from, do you dust your bunnies regularly?!

Don't have the wine Smile.

loveyoutothemoon · 30/04/2017 19:24

That's common sense isn't it category?!

I dunno Grin

Dustbunnies · 30/04/2017 19:35

Haha loveyou that made me actually laugh! It's from a song Smile

Normally I'm fine, I've been separated from DD's dad for about a year and I do have the odd wobble but it does tend to be when she's at his and I decide to treat myself to a glass of wine! I think it's because I'm at home alone and not out with friends. Maybe that's where we're going wrong?

Princesspinkgirl · 30/04/2017 19:38

Step away from the phone music more wine will help

loveyoutothemoon · 30/04/2017 19:46

Oh? Never heard of that!!

But would you want to go out? I'm old and can't be arsed! Late 30's.

I've sobered up now....

It sounds like a cup of tea is what you need right now!

Going out is a nice idea in theory but in reality it's just too much effort!

loveyoutothemoon · 30/04/2017 19:52

I don't drink tea in the evening, I'd be on the loo all night!

I'm the same, finding something to squeeze into, getting depressed that I can't wear a tight fitting dress anymore and the hangovers- feels like I'm on deaths door!

I'll abuse my body with junk food instead tonight!
