I'm madly in love with my partner, known 3 yrs, intimate 18 months.
Divorce only finalised 6 months ago. She's early 50s, I'm early 40s. I can't bear to think we could risk dying early and not making the most of what we have now! Most days are just pure joy.. (embarrassing but true....) Should I propose? I've loved her for so long, I can't BEAR to be apart!

Confused

Why do you need to be married this stay together?

Marrying in this situation could very well rip you apart rather than bring you together. Don't run before you can walk.

Hmm
DirtyChaiLatte · 29/04/2017 01:01

Your title asks 'did you'......'Did you' what though?

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 29/04/2017 01:09

can she bear to be apart though? she may want some space, you know.

sarahmum27 · 29/04/2017 01:19

Why not, you only get one life after all.

"Your title asks 'did you'......'Did you' what though?"

Exactly, hence my confused face. Haven't got a clue what OP is on about in that title. And they haven't been back.... Hmm

OneTimeintheSunshine · 29/04/2017 01:25

Did you what?
Why do you need to get married?

SparklyMagpie · 29/04/2017 01:56

Just going off how bloody confusing your post is, I'd say no, don't do it! You don't need to get married to be happy

SparklyMagpie · 29/04/2017 01:59

I bet we won't hear back until it's a quick case of " I asked her to marry now we're married...." "but I don't trust her..." or some shit, such a bizarre thread

TheNaze73 · 29/04/2017 07:48

Don't do it. Unless there are extremely good tax reasons, what we be the point?
