Our daughter has met my ex new girlfriend

Hi just looking for advice my ex partner introduced his new girlfriend to my daughter today, and just wondering should I ask how it went or should I just wait for my daughter to tell me I'm just not sure what way to go for the best

I think it's okay to ask how it went , I always do when my kids meet their Dad's partners. Just ask casually.

I would just ask her if she is ok. You don't need to know anything else. As long as she is ok. Not confused, upset or feeling indifferent.

Ok thanks I wanted to but I was just concerned that she would think I was pushing and I didn't want her to clam up as she does tend to hold things in a lot and I'm trying to teach her to say how she is feeling

I brought it up with mine, once I'd checked with ex if he'd introduced her as a girlfriend or just a friend. I just said that I knew daddy had a girlfriend, that I wasn't upset by it and asked if she was nice. My boys are 7 and 4 and my 7 year old is fiercely protective of me so I wanted to make sure he knew he could talk about her without upsetting me. To be honest they don't mention her much.
