Changing a baby's surname

Can anyone help?

I was heavily pressured into giving my under-1 year old her father's surname and I was too ill to stand up for myself. It was also done on the condition that we would get married in that year and all have the same surname.

That has not happened and we have split up. I am very upset at the prospect of my child having a different surname to mine long term.

He is not named on the birth certificate and does not have parental responsibility and the baby is under 1 year old.

How do I go about either changing the surname to mine or double barrelling both surnames?

Any advice appreciated.
