I know there is nothing we can do for them but be supportive, so I wondered if a thread might be a good idea? Somewhere to offload when you need to?

What do others think?

I have a friend whose partner is, well, a horrible bastard basically, and knowing how she is treated is really upsetting :( I imagine it doesn't help that another friend was murdered by her partner a few years back

A friend of mine is emotionally abused by his wife. He finds it difficult to talk about, confident character at work...home is a different story.

Nothing you can do apart from be supportive.
