Should I go on a date with Graeme ?

I have an Internet dating dilemma. Should I meet up with Graeme ( note how he spells his name ) tomorrow night?
Tried to meet up last week but m25 traffic chaos put pay to that so instead I spoke on the phone to him for 40 mins. He suggested same time same place in exactly a week. So fast forward a week and I've not heard from him. I text to say I presume he no longer wants to meet due to radio silence. He says he does !

Do I try again? He's relatively good looking with a lovely voice.
His last girlfriend had 70 pairs of shoes and was into designer clothes. I'm a gardener and have a selection of wellies !

What to do ?

Hunter wellies?

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 13/03/2017 19:49

If you were keen to meet up with him last week then why not?

The poor man can't help the name he was saddled with!

glassspider · 13/03/2017 19:53

Why's his name important?

Wishiwasmoiradingle2017 · 13/03/2017 19:55

Only if you are prepared to update us. . . Can we have some details - age /height /does he own wellies?

Sixoclocknews · 13/03/2017 19:56

What's the problem? His name, the fact he hasn't contacted you for a week or your footwear?

Go for it

Choclover27 · 13/03/2017 20:03

Wellies are from wilkos !!!! Not a hunter in sight 😂
Name spelling I can cope with.
But why is he still wanting to go on a date with me if there has been no contact in between? Ego boost ? Will he be disappointed by wellie woman ?
Think he's 6 ft. Bit of a beard thing going on. Can't look at his profile again as he will know 😱

Has he got an interesting job? Scope for chat?

ItShouldHaveBeenJingleJess · 13/03/2017 20:06

I'd be more worried about him whingeing a out his ex ALREADY, to be honest.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 13/03/2017 20:10

I used to fancy a lad called Graeme when I was at school... Not sure I could marry one though. I always think that a Graeme is a middle manager for the council with a wife called Maureen and a Volvo.

ItShouldHaveBeenJingleJess · 13/03/2017 20:10

Also, depends on how old you both are - after a certain age, the whole. 'will he call/won't he call' game-playing crap gets a bit dull and indicative of an immature personality.

Wishiwasmoiradingle2017 · 13/03/2017 20:12

If he was a celebrity who would he be??

Heratnumber7 · 13/03/2017 20:13

Perhaps he's had a busy week.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'd give poor Gray the benefit of the doubt.

GoodDayToYou · 13/03/2017 20:14

I just asked my dp and we both say, give it a go. Tbh, neither of us is impressed with the lack of contact but you won't know if you don't go. Personally. I'd plan a shortish date, maybe a coffee and I def wouldn't chase him any more - leave that to him. Good luck with it!

'If he was a celebrity who would he be?'

I once met a guy in a bar who introduced himself as Mark. He was pretty damn attractive - until he added 'That's Mark with a "C"'. Put me right off - still not quite sure why!

flumpybear · 13/03/2017 20:39

Go!! He's a bloke, they don't think the same way as women - take a chance, it may work, it may not. It if you don't go you may never know!!
Go!!! Dot it!!! Perhaps a date with someone less high maintenance is what he wants!!

TheNaze73 · 13/03/2017 20:42

Why are the questioning it? He said same time next week & he's true to his word. Anyone who text me asking if we were still ok, despite nothing changing, I'd think was a bit odd

theansweris42 · 13/03/2017 20:47

Well I also would've text to (re)confirm.
But yeah I reckon he said meet I'm a week so...that's what he thought was happening.
Now I know TWO v nice and cool Graemes...

theansweris42 · 13/03/2017 20:48

So yes, you should Smile

Choclover27 · 13/03/2017 21:06

Ok. Consensus of opinion is that I will go. Minus the wellies.

Sixoclocknews · 13/03/2017 21:14

Yes go. Why not?

Wishiwasmoiradingle2017 · 13/03/2017 21:34

We are all rooting for you (wellies - gardening - rooting! Grin)
Updates remember!!

ChampagneCommunist · 13/03/2017 21:48

Do you know what he does for a living? Just asking as he sounds familiar
