What do I do now?

Long story short - EA husband, narcissistic, very controlling. I told him I wanted to separate back in January and things have gotten lots worse since - threatening behaviour, driving without due care. Now tonight won't let me in the bedroom to go to bed....I'm sat downstairs as it got to the point where I thought he may be violent towards me. Told me to get out or 'he'd do something he regretted'....

I can't leave right now as I have 2 small kids and don't have any money. We're going to mediation at the end of the month.

Bumping for you OP.

It isn't that they don't believe you, it is whether the CPS think there is enough evidence for a realistic chance of conviction. All you can do it report each time.

Whose name is your house in? Mortgaged or rented?

Ask WA to help you get an injunction against him.

RandomMess · 27/03/2017 21:23

At the end of the day it would get him out the house for a while, it would be evidence that mediation is not appropriate, you would be further towards the divorce.

JLbaby · 27/03/2017 21:24

It's in both our names. Mortgaged.

I don't qualify for legal aid (because the house is worth too much), so would need to pay for the injunction and can't afford it...

What sort of evidence would the CPS need?

If there's domestic abuse, you might qualify for legal aid. It's worth getting the police and dv services involved. Because what's going on here isn't right.

JLbaby · 28/03/2017 07:55

Everyone (police, national centre for domestic violence, WA) have said I don't qualify for legal aid, because I work too many hours (16 hours a week) and my house is worth too much. Very frustrating.

Who else can I contact?
