I have found a receipt from Tesco's for two bunches of daffodils. Dp claims he was indeed in Tesco's on the date shown but was buying WD40 and "must have picked up someone else's receipt"

? or ?

Daffs are hardly romantic lol!

funnypeculiar · 28/02/2007 21:01

well, two bunches of daffs wouldn't be a hugely romatic gesture, so I'd be fairly blase, I think

JodieG1 · 28/02/2007 21:02

They hand you the receipt at the end so he wouldn't have picked someone else's up unless he wanted to.

WanderingTrolley · 28/02/2007 21:03

WD40?

He's playing away with an android.

And he owes you two bunches of daffodils.

I know but bless him he would probably think TWO bunches of daffodils the height of extravagance and luxury

he claims it was from the self service thingy Jodie

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/02/2007 21:04

Hmmm yes. WD40 is a lube, isnt it.....

Not sure which is better actually....

Or, he has bought it to stop creaking floors and doors....

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/02/2007 21:05

Self service?

Fooey · 28/02/2007 21:05

Nah he is bike mad

possibly bought the flowers for his bike, actually

OP posts:
Fooey · 28/02/2007 21:06

yeah you know, the thing where you do it yourself

oh god do you think it was all an elaborate hand job and he was buying himself flowers to get himself in the mood first????

OP posts:
ScoobyDooooo · 28/02/2007 21:06

I would believe him, it is easily done picking up someone elses receipt on the self service bit & yes they do sell WD40 in tesco's so i would give that a ooooh 1 out of 10

Miaou · 28/02/2007 21:07

rofl at lube - oh vom!!!

Nah, I believe him - but I'm a very trusting kinda soul ...

wheelsanddollbaby · 28/02/2007 21:07

You can pick up someone else's receipt if someone before you has left their receipt on the counter or in the packing area. Do Tesco's actually sell WD40? I guess they must. Is he the flower buying type? Not sure. Maybe a 4, if 1 is not suspicious and 10 is pinnochio extremes.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/02/2007 21:07

ROFL, well, self service, Daffs, lubricant.....

it all adds up....

Says alot for me to say i would believe him because i am of the "suspicious" type

Fooey · 28/02/2007 21:09

In what way cod? I have never caught him buying himself daffodils before, no

do you think he may be abusing them?

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/02/2007 21:11

20 a day. He cant kick it.

He's the narcissistic type though.

WanderingTrolley · 28/02/2007 21:12

pmsl at buying himself daffs for self romance or the bike.

go through his pockets and phone for incriminating evidence involving pictures of himself, the bike and pot of Swarfega.

Miaou · 28/02/2007 21:15

Oh vvv - narcissistic - oh tears rolling down my cheeks ...

JodieG1 · 28/02/2007 21:17

Ah the self service bit is different, fair enough. I wouldn't be that worried about that then.

Fooey · 28/02/2007 21:17

Dp is PHSL about this - he is so impressed you all trust him implicitly

I am sooooo not suspicious, although I sort of feel like I ought to be

I mean a receipt for flowers is surely up there with top incriminating things to find?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/02/2007 21:18

Miaou - I'm glad someone spotted that...i thought that was quite clever
