I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea. I get that. I just find it really difficult to understand how guys text/call and are so interested in your life. Complimentary. Want to know what your evening plans are. Random texts throughout the day.
Become kind of friends (I'm not naive, I know they're not real friends but you feel like this guy is genuinely wanting to be your friend ) then you meet....
You feel the date went well....
Daily texts stop. Then a random 'there was no spark' text! That was that! No interest in what you ate having for ye tonight because he obviously didn't fancy me! Trying not to analyse.
Soooo why does that make me feel shit?

So true about the communicating with a fantasy.
I had to say to one guy ''lower the bar of your expectations or I won't meet you. You're putting too much pressure on me''.

I never text any more. Some guys want to text all day and all night, getting over enthusiastic. It's ridiculous when you haven't even met. My heart used to sink when I would get, hello beautiful, how's your day? And night sweet dreams. It feels intrusive when you don't know someone.

Totally agree with Anon. A few messages first to gauge interest level, and meet for a quick coffee early on. You then know if you fancy them/they fancy you and can then have a date. No wasted time/over investing

I think a lot of us online daters have fallen victim to the mass texting before meeting and have all fallen foul of it.
