How soon is too soon?

So, I am recently out of a pretty LTR. No kids and not married. I know that my feelings for my ex have changed and I no longer 'love him' love him (that bit is hard to explain! I no longer have boyfriend/girlfriend feelings for him for want of a better explanation!).
How long should I wait before considering dating again?
How does one even begin looking for another relationship?
I was with my ex for approx 6 years and he has been my only sexual partner. I am terribly shy so i am not sure where to start. Plus I don't think I am great looking either! Help!

Don't even think about a relationship. There's no time limit. Spend some time on yourself. Treat yourself, get new hobbies maybe, spend time with friends. Learn to be happy on your own. Once you get there love will find you, bang out of the blue when you're not looking for it or expecting it. By all means date if that's what you want to do but don't do it for the sake of it. Have fun and enjoy your you time. And don't put yourself down by saying you're not great looking x
