'I love you' and nothing else and then tell us what the response is.

Do it now!

Reply received 'And you. What brought that on?'

Twiglett · 23/02/2007 12:54

can't be arsed

because he won't respond

and if I ask him later he'll go 'oh yes'

and then he'll start playing that Extreme track again (saying I lo-ove you, is not the words I want to hear from yo-ou .. its not that I want you not to say it but if you only knew .. how easy .. it would be to .show . me . how . you . feel ... more than wo-ords... ) and would expect sex

Cappuccino · 23/02/2007 12:55

would get zip from this

he only gets his phone out to charge it up

he is like an old grandad about it

he would find it maybe in 2009

Cappuccino · 23/02/2007 12:56

ha ha twiglett

once when I was going out with an old boyfriend in the 90s I told him to go listen to the Extreme track as he was being such an arse

he thought I meant their other track 'Get the Funk OUT', and that I was dumping him

Twiglett · 23/02/2007 12:58

I did it .. lets see shall we

(hiding Ipod as we speak)

FoghornLeghorn · 23/02/2007 12:59

Ha ha. DH and I have just been having words on the phone but I sent him this and he replied with "Ah I love you too".

Now he really thinks I do love him and everything is forgiven - wait til he finds out it was all in aid of mumsnet research

weluvu · 23/02/2007 13:01

just send a message saying "you bastard..." and see what they reply? bet some would get really worried hehe

FoghornLeghorn · 23/02/2007 13:02

Cashncarry · 23/02/2007 13:04

Cappuccino · 23/02/2007 13:04

scorpio1 · 23/02/2007 13:04

FoghornLeghorn · 23/02/2007 13:06

weluvu my DH would know it is a joke a bastard is far too tame for me to use if truely pissed off with him

Dophus · 23/02/2007 13:06

Love you 2.

Amazed he actually had his phon charged and on. Somthing I continually nag him about.

usandnosleep · 23/02/2007 13:06

"ah thanks, i luv u too xxx"

Nip · 23/02/2007 13:07

Still nothing for me either....

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 23/02/2007 13:10

I do this every day by email, normally get back either "I love you too", or occasionally a more suspicious, "why, what?" But I'll do it now to see what happens.

ShowOfHands · 23/02/2007 13:13

DH doesn't have a mobile phone. Can I text somebody else instead? Maybe I'll type in a random number and see who responds...

If he did have a phone his response would be soppy in the extreme. He's soft.

weluvu · 23/02/2007 13:14

I like to send him wierd texts that confuse him whilst he's at work, my last one was just a load of lyrics from a random song and I sent him one this morning saying "you're the only oliver I've ever known...isnt it good to be alone somethimes?" he was so confused by it that he showed it to his mate who promptly ripped the piss out of him all day for it (Oliver is his pet name which he then had to explain to said mate) muppet.

Nip · 23/02/2007 13:19

Ok so i just spoke to DH and i reminded him to look at his phone... 10 mins later i get a reply "wicked"

(Something tells me he's being very silly!)

wangle99 · 23/02/2007 13:20

I haven't done it but know what reply would be;

'what have you bought'

lol

Jessajam · 23/02/2007 13:29

sent at 12.30...still no reply...am muttering under my breath...and trying to give benefit of the doubt that he has been wrestling to get ds ready for nursery etc...

If I get no reply...it will a topic of conversation for this evening...you know, around the importance of communication and "when you do ...., it makes me feel ..."

Ambi · 23/02/2007 13:35

I got "I love you too hot stuff", which is really nice as he claims he can't text on his phone cos its too difficult, and he's only sitting 3 desks away at work.

We used to text like this years ago, feeling all warm and cuddly inside now

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 23/02/2007 13:43

Well, I got, "always nice to know, any particular reason?" lol

rorytiger · 23/02/2007 13:47

Have just done it...waiting with baited breath for reply....

funnypeculiar · 23/02/2007 13:49

I'm waiting....
