Sad there are so many bad relationships here

It's sad to see so many of us having to cope with difficult relationships. I first came in here in the midst of discovering my husband was cheating, put up with lies and deceit for three years in total before I finally walked away. Looking back I don't know how I coped for so long being so unhappy, -and allowing him to treat me the way he did.

What is lovely here are the supportive, frank and honest replies to questions and posts. And mostly all non judgemental - just someone objective showing they understand.

Big love to everyone struggling at the moment x

It's a really good post OP & glad to hear you're in a better place.

This really isn't a cross sample of relationships in general though. There are around 20 million marriages in the UK & most in happy relationships won't post, just to say they're happy.

Bear in mind that this is the topic people post when they have problems, so although not every thread is about a problem relationship a high proportion will be. This gives a depressingly distorted view of relationships as a whole. It is a brilliant source of support and common experience, but it isn't an accurate reflection of the whole of society. At least, you have to hope it isn't!
