Hello, my partner isn't close to his family as his mum has a temper and can get abusive towards other members of the family but never has towards my partner. His mum and his nan are two peas in a pod and tries to make my partner pick sides against other members of his family and always start family dramas which is way he never spends anytime with them. I have always been polite to everyone but his nan has now lost her husband and now texts me all the time, if I respond she then textes me moaning about family members. I don't want to be put in the middle of thier family drama, especially when my partner does bother with them. Do you think it's rude if I stop texting her back?

No

No, not at all. Would withdraw from all his family as of now. They are all emotionally unhealthy individuals.

Just tell her you don't want to be part of it.
