Bodys getting me down

First time poster got 2 dc last pregnancy I gained alot of weight and had a c section birth I've lost all the weight but I'm left with a bit of loose skin and a pouch I absolutely hate it my dp of a year has never seen my tummy he's always saying not to be so silly ect but I'm just so self conscious of it .

Has anyone else got this and are you comfortable with your dp seeing it ?

Thanks for your reply I've got alot of nice underwear I think it's because I had such a flat tummy before I'm so self conscious now I find myself conspiring my tummy to others wishing I had that . Have considered going under the knife but terrified it goes wrong.

I had a really flat stomach beforehand too. I had a CS with my second child and whilst I didn't put any weight on at the time, the stone that has crept on over the past 10 years is now really beginning to show a bit of an overhang.

It bothers me most because my flat stomach was pretty much the only part of me I was reasonably happy with before.

I don't really have any advice for you because, as I'm now single and early 40s, my solution is to be single and sexless for the rest of my life as I have no intention of revealing myself to anyone now!

So, no advice, but at least you know you're not alone

I had an apron, I hated it, DH couldn't give a shiny shit about it but I always wanted the lights off. I had surgery to have it taken away and all that ended, I even wore a bikini in my 40's despite never having worn one even as a teen.

It was a big thing for me despite being no issue to DH or anyone else. I'm glad I had it done.

I was chatting to my step-mum about it. She had a procedure done to remove the bags under her eyes. She kept indoors and didn't tell many people, nobody noticed but she's no longer self conscious.

I'm such a hipocrit as I don't wear makeup, do hair or fashion and yet I felt the need to permanently change myself and even braved injections to do it! No regrets here and it's led me to be more open minded which is a benefit I'd never thought of.

Thanks ladies surgery is something I think about alot I've just turned 30 would love to wear a bikini again shall look further into it .

It's not for everyone, I can only speak for me.

Ideally we'd all be comfortable and confident and see ourselves as our loved ones do.

Have a look, it may not be for you. You may find that being able to be honest with your OH will lead you to be happy in yourself. I hope for you that this is the case. I have a scar from hip to hip. It could be that your preference is for the skin rather than the scar? Surgery isn't the easy option and has its own risks.

Thanks Joy I know the risks that's why it's such a big step shall do alot if research.
