So tonight DH had some new food he is totally over the moon for - kimchi. It's a Korean pickled cabbage dish with chilli etc. I had made a nice roast pork etc and he decided to have some on the side.
but fine with me - whatever... He offered me some and I declined politely. I was looking fwd to my roast just as it was. He got more insistent "go on. It's soon good" - still polite. I continued to politely decline. Then he brings out that he just wants to share something he enjoys with his wife and I'm on some kind of power trip! I just didn't want any of the fucking stuff - I've tried it before (slightly different version) and don't like it. I can barely stand the smell of it in the house but put up because he enjoys it so much.
Apparently I have also taught our Dd to do this same "power trip" when deciding she doesn't like something.
Should I have just tried the bloody stuff in the first place just to keep the peace?
