Last night, my son came back from weekend at his dad's, telling me that something we all assumed my abusive ex stepfather did years ago was incorrect - I asked how he knew this and he said his dad spoke to him.
I was taken aback, as they met once over Christmas around twelve years ago, and didn't seem to have much in common except a deep misogynistic vein. Ex was contemptuous and demeaning of me, while ex SF was horrible and controlling wit both me and my mother - it was a great Christmas, as you can imagine.
Anyway, I dumped him over a decade ago, and my mum did same with her ex, but now I find out they've stayed in contact all these years, and my son told me his dad told him how well he was doing, etc.
This is so disturbing and upsetting, given this is a man who physically attacked me when I was heavily pregnant with my son, calling me a fucking bitch and screaming at me.
Now they're chatting like a couple mates, sharing my son's progress?
I am just so shocked and disgusted by this turn of events - I thought ex SF had been out of my life for over a decade and now I find out he's still in a way, involved. I sent furious text about this to my son's father, and he has predictably not seen anything wrong at all with the situation.
I feel disturbed and betrayed - is there anything I can do?
