The link is to my previous meltdown! To cut a long story short, I'm trapped in a marriage I don't want to be in. Trapped by finances, situation and other failed marriages behind me.
He's awful to my eldest children (not his) and I need to get out before it impacts on them any further.

I'll have to search for your thread tomorrow eve but would you consider talking to Women's Aid? Once you get through (they tend to be busy) I gather that they are great for talking and planning exits with. It does sound like you need to get out. Whose name is the house/flat in? Are you married? Your instinct to protect DC has kicked in. Let it guide you. It speaks the truth.

I just read your other thread. It sounds like your family would be supportive if you left him. Have you spoken to your sister about it?

We live in accommodation provided by his employer so we would need to move out.
I don't know why but I'm afraid to ring women's aid. I feel like I would be taking up their time when there are undoubtedly much more serious cases they deal with.
My family would definitely be supportive. More so now than last time I posted even.
I don't get to spend much time with my sister as we live so far apart. I almost don't want to bring the drama to her door as she has a lot going on at the moment too.
But this begs the question as to who do I talk to? In a new area I have no friends I can talk to about something like this and my friends in my old town seem to not be interested in what I have to say anymore.

Also did you ever see cab about whether you'd be eligible for benefits? If not then ring them tomorrow and make an appointment.

I know how hard it is and how you can just be stuck trying to figure out how you can be free and safe. It is easier when you have help, please accept the help of women's aid and/or cab.

I've poured it all out to my parents and it turns out they aren't that supportive of me leaving him. Finance wise and situation wise.

I'm not sure. I think we've committed to the building society saying we can't get it until next year.
