2nd date - can't wait, have butterflies already.

I have my 2nd date with a lovely chap this afternoon, we had a perfect evening on Monday chatting over a glass of wine to the wee small hours, I never intended to stay out that late but it just happened.

We are meeting for lunch today, it will only be a brief one as we both had things to do, but wanted to squeeze something in. Looking fwd to it already getting the feeling of butterflies in my tummy.

The only slight thing is he did not kiss on the first date which would have been the icing on the cake, I think he is nervous as he has limited dating experience. If things go well, should I go in for the kiss if he does not, lunch dates are a little different to an evening drink or meal?

I am really looking fwd to getting to know him that little bit more, small steps but I am already thinking what we could get up to on date 3.

Sounds lovely! if I were you, I would just see how things pan out re: kissing situation. If it feels natural and mutual then dive in there! If it feels pre-planned and awkward...don't. Have a fab lunch!

Fab! Where did you meet him? Limited dating experience?

We met on POF, one of the few normal guys on there.

He has only ever had one long term relationship, career guy until now.

No dc then?

Have fun, and try not to spend the lunch over thinking whether to kiss or not! It doesn't sound like the best of environments for a first kiss to be savoured - not everyone likes to have their face chewed off in public
Just let it progress naturally and only think about whether you want to suggest a third date, not about kissing.

If you get to your bus stop and want to kiss him goodbye, do it.

If you don't, then don't.

By telling OP not to obsess about kissing him, we're repeating the word kissing and putting it more into her mind. She'll end up pulling him into a snog on a street corner like I did I reckon 😂.

OP don't drink too much and if possible, try not spend the whole time staring at his mouth thinking about what it would feel like to k-word it.

SoleBizzz another fabulous time although brief due to prior engagements, ended with a little peck on the lips :)

I'm glad your date went well. Try not to get carried away! Stay in control of those emotions and dreaming of a future together.
