Ehat is a reasonable amount of times for a SAHM to go out?

Just wondering about others how many times you go out in the week/weekend without the kids.

Husband works 12 hour says monday to fri and works saturday mornings.

I want a bit of me time now as finishing bfeeding so how many times a week is reasonable? Im talking an hour or two each time in the evenings or weekend.

I was a SAHM for nearly 12 years - I would go out as and when I wanted to - we would check out with each other so that one of us was around to care for the DC (or we would pay a babysitter) ......... but that worked for us because we were both happy with the arrangements. Personally I see little point in both of you 'staying in' for the sake of it, but perhaps your DH just doesn't feel the need to go out?

I do now work part time but still tend to go out more than DH does - not for a wild social life but because I am generally just involved in more activities, committees, groups etc than DH is.

I work and go out 2/3 nights a week, my DH goes out 1 or 2 times. Whatever suits you. Everyone needs down time?

We used to alternate Friday nights, to go out with our friends & each got to the gym or spin class twice a week. Just used to take military like planning.

I go out twice a week for sports classes (have always done these since I've known DH so it was non-negotiable to continue after becoming sahm). DH stays at home with DS at those times. We go out together once or twice a fortnight when we have to use a babysitter. DS has some nursery hours as well so I use that time for me time or errands. DH doesn't work particularly long hours and he does sports a couple of times a week as well.

I'm a SAHM to 3 children. I probably go out (to some extent) 5 nights out of 7 . This suits us though - either DH gets some lovely, quality time with the DCs at bedtime 😁, or has some work to do in the evening. On average I will go for a run for about an hour 3 evenings a week (early enough that I still have time with DH afterwards) and do something more sociable a couple of nights a week (this week I have a cinema trip and a theatre / dinner evening planned - sometimes is just a drink, or book group). DH will probably go out for drinks once a week (he exercised before work, in the morning). I'd go stir crazy if I didn't have a bit of time out of the house to look forward to most days!
