Have I made a fool of myself?

So last night out of total stupidity I text my ex saying "hi" that was it and he never replied.
Luckily it was from my new phone that I got last week so he doesn't have that number.
I'm just worrying he might know it's me.
It's been 8 months since we broke up so he probably won't think it's me will he?
I'm having a bit of a "what are you doing woman" moment.
It could of been anyone tho couldn't it.

If a text just saying "hi" has come through from a number he doesn't have stored or doesn't know, then he's probably deleted it without a second thought.

Why did you send it? Seems like you want him to know your new phone number - why?

user1468602338 · 17/07/2016 13:26

I was drunk and stupidly went on time hop on my phone and seen a picture of us together...idiot.
Thankfully it wasn't my number he knew.
I've just gone in panic mode thinking I'm desperate and a looser.

Do you want to get back together? And if so was the reason you split bad?

HuskyLover1 · 17/07/2016 13:36

He won't know it's you. And if he does figure that out somehow, just reply along the lines of "Sorry, I meant to send that text to someone else, but I've got a new phone and I'm a bit crap on it, plus I'd had a drink, sorry"

user1468602338 · 17/07/2016 13:42

No we would never get back together.
Most days I don't even like him.
Tbh he talks to that many people it could be any one couldn't it I just went a little psyco sal.
Then I'm thinking did he think it was me and never replied but I doubt it.

Delete his number from your new phone. Why is it even in there?

user1468602338 · 17/07/2016 14:09

Unfortunately I know it off by heart

^ This.

If he does reply with a "who is this?" then either ignore it or reply "sorry wrong number." And in the meantime make sure your voicemail is the autovoicemail message and not you in person saying "Hi this is User1468 please leave a message".

user1468602338 · 17/07/2016 17:15

My voicemail is turned off (phew) and even when it was on it was just welcome to Vodafone
I think I'm safe ..

Why do you still have his number ?

champagneplanet · 17/07/2016 19:29

block his number so you don't see his reply if he ever does, remember how you feel right now and move onwards and upwards, he's your ex for a reason Wine

user1468602338 · 17/07/2016 20:38

He never replied anyway so no worries.
