Think I need to LTB. Too many things but basically lack of support with dcs. Distant, critical, not much in common.

How do you start? We rent and in no financial position to split. Hard year for ds, will be v hard for him. But I can't co-parent with someone who criticises every parenting decision I make loudly in front of dcs.

No advice I'm afraid but handholding as I feel in a similar position. You are not alone, I think tho that wise mners may seek some more details though in order to offer advice.

First thing, look at your financial situation. Do you work? Are you able to work? Will he be able to pay child maintenance? What benefits are/would you be entitled to? Not that a bad financial position must stop you from leaving but it can give you an idea of where you need to start.

Next, housing. Do you rent or buy? Will your DH/P leave if you ask? Do you have a place to go if not (family, friends, etc).

Finally, seek legal advice to answer any questions or (hopefully) resolve any of the above issues.

Do you have family or friends in rl that you can turn to for support?
