I have been dating someone for a little while now that I have known for some time as friends. I would like to take things further. We are both in our late 30s/early 40s and have had previous marriages/relationships so not exactly new to this type of thing however every time that we attempt to do the deed he, how can I say this he finishes before it's even started, even without any touching.

I am understanding about it and don't make it out to be a big deal and he's quite open and laughs it off but clearly is mortified every time. Apparently this hasn't been a problem before although I'm not sure I believe that.

Has anyone dealt with this sort of thing before? Can it get better?

Well the big question is - do you get to finish too?

Does he carry on with fingers/tongue/toys to help you along or is he just like "yeah I'm done, that's it".

If it's the former then it's worth exploring solutions for his problem, if it's the latter then move on because premature ejaculation or not, he just doesn't care about your pleasure.

Get him to bring you to orgasm by other means, give him a little recovery time and try again.
If this doesn't work then you can try other techniques which I'm sure you can google or try a sex therapist.

He always makes sure I'm happy so that isn't the problem but it is still a bit frustrating and I find it hard to say that to him as I worry it will make it in to an even bigger deal for him. Even when we go for round two it still happens. I can't begin to imagine how it makes him feel
