What am I doing?

So about a year back dh deleted messages from someone at work he claims she's underage and I am the bad one for saying anything. He always had messages on phone from work colleagues asking what time they are in shift changed etc but then one day deleted her thread. He's left that job now. His phone broke down and got it restored up came all his old texts and pictures. I never said anything then I said oh well you can show me that message if it was innocent? But no, he's deleted it! Hasn't deleted any others but that one! He said no problem look on my phone. It's gone. I shouldn't trust him should I?

Bad memories over what? Sounds like a load of bullshit and he's trying to put the blame on to you.

You will never know.

You need to decide if you want to trust him or not. If you don't want to trust him it will eat you up as you will never know for sure what the message said. If you want to trust him then its probably best that you choose to believe that even if it wasn't innocent then he didn't encourage it and just wanted to get rid of something you might upset you if you read it.

In the absence of any suggestion that this was an ongoing thing, I suspect it was banter which got out of hand and became inappropriate before he realised where it was heading.
