Always moaning!

I feel like im always moaning at DH. I moan that he doesn't help enough around the house, I moan he doesn't spend enough time with dc. Both of these are because he's working hard. Then when he does help I moan he hasn't cleaned this or that properly. I moan about his annoying habits. Today I moaned because he bought ds1 some cheap shoes he thought he would love. I don't like ds having cheap shoes because he has wide feet and I'm worried shoes that haven't been correctly fitted will permanently damage his feet. Anyway DH looked crushed that I was moaning about something that was supposed to be a nice gesture. I thinknits starting to affect our relationship. What the hell is wrong with me. And now I feel like im always on Mn moaning!!

I think its easy to focus on what your partner is doing wrong, when it might be beneficial to turn your focus inwardly and think ok, am i the perfect partner?

Constantly moaning is a controlling thing. Always wanting him to meet your standards. But he is a person in his own right and who's to say his standards are wrong? Its about compromise. You wouldn't like to be constantly told you arent doing enough.

I think you should go out for a day as a family, forgot about having a clean and tidy house, just spend the day together and reconnect and promise to yourself that you wont complain for one day. Each time he annoys you, bite your tongue and think, is this really worth pointing out?

Sometimes things are worth moaning over. But a lot of the time they aren't. Life's too short.
