Dating help!

Hello fellow Mummies,
I have a random question. I've been a single mother for a couple of years now and have started putting myself back on to the dating 'scene'. My concern is... how do I know any potential suitor is 'safe'? Obviously it would be quite a long way into the future before I even consider introducing my LO to anyone (that's if there is anyone out there for me haha!!) but my Mother mentioned there is somewhere you can check out your potential partner for any criminal conviction relating to children? I don't know how true this is or where I would even start to look for something like this... any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Bear in mind that some predators aren't on a sex offender list - because they've never been caught. So always listen to your gut instinct as well.
