Drunk texting

So I've been on a couple of dates with a guy I like, due to work commitments I haven't seen him for a while but he keeps insisting he wants to meet when he's back in the UK which I do believe.

Last night I went out with friends and had too much to drink and ended up texting him quite a bit, he was replying and I didn't say any thing embarrassing but now I feel awful, like I've ruined the intrigue/not played it cool. Am I overthinking this?

I think you're probably overthinking it.

If I were you I'd cool off a bit and wait until he texts you.

Haha I'm not bothered about being just a booty call... But I didn't say anything sexual. I have text this morning but he often takes a while to reply so it's not unusual.

Laugh it off if it comes up.. some of the drunk messages I've sent my mum that were meant for my bf were truely shameful.

Our chat is very jokey and we have a similar very dry sense of humour, I also love to talk and often I'll get one message from him every couple of days but it's a long one. So last night is maybe the first time we have actually text back and forth in an evening?

I just sent a jokey self deprecating message today about 'my faith in myself as a conversationalist being directly correlated to the amount of alcohol I've consumed'. Hopefully he sees the funny side.

your over thinking it, OK so you may have texted a little bit too much but he if he likes you it shouldn't in any way affect the relationship.
