How do you know if you've fallen out of love?

So as the title says, I just wanted to hear other people's experiences please. I am really not happy in my marriage but I can't seem to come to solid conclusion in my mind. If you've fallen out of love before how did you know?

Couldn't stand the sight of him. That was a bit of a giveaway.

With me it took a long time to wake up. My stbexh wasn't a bad man. Not abusive etc etc. Was with him for 17 years, married for 12. I'd say at least the last 5 weren't good. I wanted so much to change and I did everything I could to try and get 'us' back. But eventually I checked out. But not before I did the 'talks', the shouting, the crying etc. Eventually I gave up and emotionally checked out. I honestly wanted him to have an affair as a good enough reason to break up my family cos I didn't want to hurt anyone by doing it. There were even points in ashamed to say I thought it would be easier if he died... That's truly truly awful and he didn't deserve that but that's how unhappy I was. When I finally made the break it was awful for a time. But it was 110% right and 2 years on we get on well, are even friends and co parent wonderfully. And he agrees it was the right thing. Obviously everyone's circumstances are different but we were in a massive rut. He just refused to see it. Sorry you feel this way x

If you aren't happy, that IS a good enough reason. I waited 3 - 5 years too long. That's 3 years of life lost..... It's not worth it in the end x

When my heart sank every time he came home.

When I no longer found him attractive.

When the way he smelt, ate and breathed annoyed me.

When you prefer time on your own rather than spending it with them.
