Remembrence ring

I just wanted to share this with you.

I lost DH recently, and he wasn't on this planet for long enough. I had our wedding rings melted into one ring, and some of his ashes encased in a glass bead, set into the ring.

The ashes sparkle like little stars, and I was reminded of when a wise and compassionate MNer (you know who you are) told me we are all made of Star Stuff. And this proves it.

That's beautiful, what a lovely idea. Sorry for your loss Flowers

It is beautiful and unique, just like the love you shared for each other. I am so sorry for your loss. I have tiny feet as a ring to remember the baby girl I lost. I got so upset when it started to become scratched but now I love it even more with the scratches. Flowers I hope it brings you peace.

Flowers what a lovely idea

RubbishMantra · 16/04/2016 16:49

Thank you Brie.

I felt very naked for the couple of months without a ring on my finger, and DH's on a chain around my neck. And this coming from somebody who wasn't arsed about marriage until I met DH.

The jeweller even etched DH's fingerprint onto the shank of the ring.

I'm beginning to come to terms with the loss of my beautiful DH.

It's a beautiful ring. I'm so sorry you lost him.

I'm so sorry about your baby girl, Badgers.

It is a comforting thing to have. The jeweller who made my piece also made baby feet memorials, and I remember feeling how sad it must be to lose somebody so young. x
