"You bought me a book on how to pick up women?!?"

I bought DH The Game for Xmas. He's started reading it, and is offended and/or boggled that I bought him a book on men picking up women.

I bought it because I thought it looked interesting, and I enjoyed the excerpts I had read.

He believes this gift is as "inappropriate" as the Abs and Glutes tape he bought me one year ... any votes?

I'm still earlier on than you I think NQC. He's just met that other guy in TGI's and started on the NLP jedi mind control things. Quite liking the idea of being able to get someone to like me by making them think of attraction using a trigger in my presence - could open a whole new world for me. bet it doesn't work on men the same way though - I'll let you know

I thought the trick to getting men to like you, as a woman, was ... um ... breathing? Seriously, when I was single, I asked out loads of men, and yeah, some said 'no', but most said 'yes'.

This book sounds fascinating

WideWebWitch · 14/01/2007 09:42

Exactly NQC, men are extremely easy to pull ime!

hockeypuck · 14/01/2007 10:15

yeah, they are obviously easy to pull, but to get them to really be interested in you, a few jedi powers wouldn't go amiss surely!

NotQuiteCockney · 14/01/2007 10:50

Hmm, ime, just the pulling seems to sort the "really interested" bit out, most of the time.

The techniques often seem quite manipulative and unfair to me. Or silly. DH has run into a lot of salesmen using mirroring techniques, and has got them to do some very silly things - he got one to stand on a bin once, just for his own amusement.

lol - NQC, now that would be funny to see.

Seeing as I'm not on the pull, but happily married I think I should practice these mirroring techniques for my own amusement. manipulative - moi?!
