Came through today! Haven't got the papers yet but solicitor informed me I'm no longer Mrs UTC 💃🎆

How will you celebrate?

Thanks I feel relieved more than anything. Still have some stuff going through court but this is major progress.

Celebrations.. Step one, get rid of flu bug, rest, chill and feel well with less stress.

Step two, night out with my brilliant friends.

Step three, pass my bloody qualification I've had to do while trudging through this hell, and coming to terms with being a lone parent and new job (at start of this)

Step four, when I buy new house have proper house warming with family and friends and their kids to celebrate our new start.

So think I might be celebrating for quite a while!

I wondered how I would feel when mine came through. I had wanted it for so long and it had been such hard work getting to that point. I wondered if I would feel sad for what could have been but actually I felt elated. Fabulous feeling!

The nisi is the one that takes time. The absolute is pretty quick. Ex divorced me (for MY unreasonable behaviour...hilarious if you've read any of my previous threads!) He put it in last week so really quick.

Funny but I wasn't that happy when I first got my decree absolute but now the penny has dropped I'm ecstatic!
