It is really difficult sometimes to articulate what is happening in a relationship and it is not always easy to Leave The Bastard. So many of you have been really kind. I appreciate it, and without you I wouldn't be looking (and going on) the Freedom Progamme. I would not have been in contact with Women's Aid. I am bowing my head a little to say thank you. It's not straightforward or easy.

Big hug op. Mn enlightened me to so much when I was splitting from exh but looking back they were revelations over time rather than lightbulb moments. Mn helped me detach what was ea from just relationship ups and downs and I'm also very grateful - and wiser!

I totally understand how bloody hard and heartbreaking it is. I spent years of my life not understanding what I was doing wrong. It took MN to make me learn and understand that it wasn't me! Well done you. It is hard but it is worth making an effort to get out. It isn't easy but it's worth it.

Today I told my husband that his behaviour had really upset me and there is absolutely no point whatsoever in going on. The elephant in the room has been his behaviour, and really there is no joy whatsoever in dreading any sexual contact with him.

You know leaving is the dangerous part, yes? Sorry to come straight out with it but I'm concerned for you. Do you have friends/family nearby? Has he been violent in the past?

My original family is far, far worse than a chocolate tea-pot in use. Today I am feeling really quite depressed. My daughter, 11 is soooo rude and has been having problems for years. She has been going to an art therapist. I feel very responsible and really don't know what to think. I just don't think I can take much more.

It's not easy to leave but you must do it. Plenty on here have done it and you will meet others on the Freedom Programme who have done/doing it and you can support one another. It's not easy but what we are leaving is worse.
