My friend is currently with a partner who has threatened and scares her

I have told her to contact womens aid, what else can I do?

Hi,yes contact Women's Aid for advice , they are open 24/7.
Also police will take threats seriously.
Verbal attacks and threat are emotional abuse, it doesn't have to be actual physical violence.

If she feels scared/threatened by her partner she can call 999 any time of the day or night; she can also make contact with her regional police authority's Domestic Violence Unit either by phone or by going to her local police station and asking to be referred to an officer who specialises in domestic abuse.

You could offer to store important documents such as birth certificates, passports, etc, and spare clothing in case she has leave her home sudddenly and keep some cash to hand in case she has to make her way by cab to you in an emergency.

Yes to WA. It is worth also getting it logged with her GP or another professional because she should then be able to get evidence from them to get legal aid to get various legal remedies if she is also financially entitled.
