I haven't logged on to MumsNet for a long time and just looked in my inbox and faced some memories.

A few years ago, May 2013 to be precise, I was in a bad relationship.

During one particular violent episode in the early hours of the morning I posted a thread asking someone to call the police for me (I couldn't use my phone, I only had a tablet near me, and knew my friends would be asleep at that time) and I had a few replies.

Thank you to everyone who messaged me and took me seriously.
A user phoned the police and they came and he was arrested.
The police and lots of other people were so supportive and I am so happy to say that 3 years on my life is in such a good place, one where I never imagined would even be possible.

So, that's all really, thank you :-)

And to anyone stuck in a violent/controlling relationship....life gets so much better and there is so much support :-)

Do not be afraid to ask for help x
