What are the warning signs that a man will be an abuser, emotionally?

I can only comment on my own experience. I am still learning to deprogram from my ex wife. I don't know what the early signs are. But listen to the oppinions of those close to you that you trust. Use them as a compass. They are your best defence to see when something isn't right when you can. So if they raise concerns listen, don't turn your back on them. If the man starts telling you negative things about the people close to you that deep down don't sound true be very careful! It's amazing how easy we can be brainwashed to think that the people who care about us are enamys of the relationship.

Ultimately I think you have to trust your gut. And listen to what other people around you say. It can be very difficult to spot wearing rose tinted spectacles but a lot easier if you arent.
