TAAT and the dress for a date

I posted asking advice re a dress I was going to bid on Ebay - I won it and it's now got a dual purpose for a date as well as a fancy do - old thread here

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/2540256-what-do-we-think-of-this-dress?

I wanted to post a bit about the aforementioned date as I'm rather excited about it and is a bit of a movie type plot about it!

The date in question is with a man that I've known for 10 years but who I left (going back to the UK from working abroad whilst he stayed out abroad) through no bad feelings it was just a situation of bad timing.

Fast forward 10 years and I had thought about him often, he had an ability to make me laugh like no one else could. I didn't have facebook and didn't want to keep in touch as at the time it made me sad to think of what I had lost.

Then about 3 months ago he popped up on my linkedin feed (apart from MN my only social media acc) as someone I may know - I added him and we have been chatting every day since.

In this 10 year gap I had my dd with an abusive exp, I was apprehensive of telling him about her but he has said he admires me greatly for doing what I have done.

We're both in the UK now and we're planning a visit up from him in a few weeks time (hence the dress). I'm excited for what is to come and has made me think you never know what is round the corner - PS if you have any thoughts on the dress feel free to comment!

munky we're going to a rather posh (ok v posh) restaurant where this type of outfit would fit in well.

epilepsyhelp I'll post pic when dress arrives!

Ended up chatting all day today again, I never get bored of talking to him (which is good as he's coming up for 5 days!)
