I live in quite a small, close knit community. Everyone related, all the kids go to the same village school, the same activities etc. I love it, have always found it really warm and welcoming, although I was not born here
I recently started working evenings in the local pub. One man in particular has been a bit of a problem. Flirty, gropey. The other night he went too far, and his crotch made the aquaintance of my right knee.

He is always boasting of his conquests (why do people think bartenders are deaf?)

The thing is, he has a lovely wife, and three young children. And everyone knows what he gets up to. I have seen him snogging women who the next day, will be chatting to his wife at the school gates. He has told his stories to the husbands of the wife's best friends. He goes on frequent lad's holidays and trips with the village rugby club and sleeps with prostitutes

My boss says half the men in the village are up to similar. The rugby club is practically a way of life here, and they all are shagging round on their trips

Either way, i just can't get over this man.....he is cheating regularly and in the most obvious ways....surely someone has told his wife?

I am from an apparently sleepy little village. Once I was old enough to start going to the pub and getting to know the locals I was shocked by the truth of the sub text. I can laugh about it now but.....
I assume the village I live in now is like it but have not scratched below the surface here, I prefer my fairytale image to stay in place a while longer.
