help moving on

My So called DP has left myself and My Ds - 8 (not his) completely in the shit.

We moved an hour away to move in with him changed schools etc. and I honestly thought this was it for life.

He's decided it's "not working" for him and basically dumped me out of the blue. We've only been here 8 weeks!!!

So now we need to start looking for somewhere to live etc but I'm heartbroken. I still love him and this is not what I want. How do I get past the wanting him to cut him out and move on?

My birthday is in 2 weeks and I was really looking forward to it and Christmas is the last thing I want to go through now :-(

Is it his house or is it rented? What an arsehole he is OP :(

Is there anyone back home you can live with for a bit?

My family live an hour away, he watched me sell all of my belongings to integrate into this house!!

My "D"P did this to me.

DS was also 8 or 9 when he did it.

I had also moved when he did it (10 hours not 1)

I was also living in his house and he left me and DS totally in the shit.

Only he did it to me after 5 years. With absolutely zero warning. I got 72 hours to be out with child. After 5 years. And believe me - no problems in the relationship at all!

I know how awful you feel right now, but believe me, best to do it after 8 weeks!

Would moving back to your previous area be an option, are there any family members who could give you a place to stay temporarily?

I could probably go back to my old area but I still need to save deposit and replace all the stuff I sold. My DS would like to stay at this school though if possible.

It's such a mess. He doesn't even see what he's done. He thinks I should be grateful that's he's letting us stay here. As he reminded me this morning it's his house I should be careful. Told him not to threaten me and leave me alone. I'll be here as long as I need.

4 years!!! I'm just in shock really. I was distraught. It now I'm just really really angry!

Well I wouldn't stay 'as long as I need.' I think that's putting too much strain on you all. Id be off as soon as I could.

Could you rely on family or friends for a bit while you save up?

It's a really awful situation but you need out of it straight away.

He works away so he's basically just not coming home so I don't have to see him which helps.

My family live too far away so I can't maintain my sons school. I work full time too so it's all very messy at the moment.
