Being in a relationship after being single for a long time

I've been single for a few years. My last relationship with exH was like two people purely existing in same household. I was at his beck and call. Since being single I've been more independent than I've ever been. its like a newfound life. I've been in a relationship for nearly 6 months. He's truly great and I love him and see a future, but I'm really struggling to adjust to having to consider and spend time with someone else in my life.

I'm used to doing my own thing when my DD is at her dads, that I find it really difficult to have a balance of him and my 'me' time
Which helps me recharge. Any tips?
