What do the green and yellow dots mean? Next to peoples profiles?

Green means that they are online and yellow means that they are an upgraded member (ie have paid for an upgrade so they get a few extras-these will be detailed in the site blurb.) Hth.

Green doesn't mean online. I have a profile that's been hidden for ages but if I search for it by username without logging in, it's got a green dot next to it. I haven't logged in for several months. Not sure what the green dot means but it definitely doesn't mean online.

Hmm that's strange INever, the only green dot I've seen appears next to the names of posters online on the inbox page-people that you have been contacted by.Wonder what it means then?

Hello - can someone explain the Meet Me function? And on the app, the people whose photos come up - do they want to meet me or have they just viewed my profile? Finally - for now! - if I click maybe on someone's photo what happens?

I know, I thought it was weird too. I'm seeing this guy that I met on there and I looked up his profile but by googling his username and following the link to pof, without logging in, to see if he'd updated his profile or anything since we'd agreed to hide profiles. And he had a green dot, so I was immediately suspicious!! But then I googled my ex's username and his had one too, and I thought bit of a coincidence but maybe he's online as well, so then googled mine and green dot there too. And I definitely haven't been online in months. Just tried it again now and every username I try has the green dot. So I don't know what it means, but it can't mean that.

Autumn, on the site you can't see who wants to meet you without upgrading, but on the app you can see them and they will have pressed 'yes' to the Meet me function {when they have seen your photo.)Hope that makes sense!
If you click on someone's photo you can then access their full profile and they can see you have viewed them unless you opted out when you first joined.

Hi Autumn, I don't use the alerts so not sure about that..however you can always look at them and then see if they have added you to favourites.Then, if you like the look of them you could just send them a brief message and see what happens.Sometimes you have to be proactive on Pof! Good luck!
