has anyone else had a problem in their relationship after having a baby? My little man is a year old now and my relationship has really changed. My partner dosent feel like my partner anymore, it just feels like we are 2 people living separate lives but in the same house.... is this a normal thing all parents go through? Its really getting me down so does anyone have any advice?

My advice, tell him you feel that you both being parents has left you both losing site that you are friends and lovers too and say you'd like for you both to talk about ways you can reconnect as partners.

Yes it can very easily happen, talk about it ASAP.

And make some time for yourselves, even if its cooking a special meal for the two of you at home, a shared bath with candles, anything. Yes its difficult to organize, but compared to the alternative...

Many people feel like this I think. Just talk to him and make time for each other. Have a few dates etc even if it's at home whilst your son is in bed.

This is what I tried but I cant help feeling as if im the one making more of an effort. I love my son very much and would hate to think the tension is affecting him. At what point do you give up trying? I feel awful for thinking it as I know how lucky I am, but I can't help thinking we are only still together because of our son :(
