I'm fairly sure I pee when I come really hard. Is this normal?

Okay, embarrased internet searching has just turned up a bunch of confusion and arguments over whether women can ejaculate, and I'm way too embarassed to ask anyone IRL about this. Background:

  • am 28 and in good health
  • have not given birth (on mn bepcause I work in education and it's also it's a great female community)
  • never had any trouble reaching orgasm - if anything I come too fast!
  • doesn't happen every time. Most likely to happen with vibrator-induced clitoral orgasm and/or when orgasm is very strong
- no partner has ever commented (or possibly noticed, as it's not a huge amount of liquid and tends to get mixed up with other various mess of sex)
  • fairly sure it is pee (though seems very very dilute compared to other pee - have inspected after masturbation)
  • emptying bladder beforehand does not help!
Help me collective wisdom of mumsnet! Is this normal? Does it happen to other women? Is it something I should be concerned about?

I mis-read your post as "I come really hard when I pee" Grin That could be awkward.

I think it's known as female ejaculation. The Holy Grail for a lot of chaps I believe.

"I come really hard when I pee"

Ahahahah! That would make public toilets rather awkward!

I kind of want to believe it's female ejaculation. Sounds a lot better than 'I pee myself during sex'. But I've also been told female ejaculation is a myth. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

x-posted withwhat you see. I'm irrationally very relieved to hear that! (I mean it's not like pee would be the end of the world). I have to say it's very, very rarely happened with a guy (possibly 3 times ever) and is more likely to be vibrator-induced. Clearly I have not yet met a guy with your partner's talent!

Not pee, female ejaculation exists, and can vary from tiny amounts to gushing. Doesn't happen all the time even for those who regularly ejaculate when come. Lots of towels can be very useful!

RabbitsarenotHares · 03/10/2015 11:40

Ive ejaculated twice with a vibrator so it can happen. However, a friend of mine told me years ago that she peed during sex (and as far as I know still does) and she hated it, as she always had to plan for it. She was convinced it was urine. No idea if she ever had the guts to speak to her doctor about it.

ComeDownToMe · 03/10/2015 11:44

You are not alone! I do this with my DP fairly regularly but never have with any other bloke. I find it a bit embarrassing but he likes it Blush as he says it tells him he's doing it right for me to lose control.

Female ejaculation sounds much better than I wet myself during sex so cheers for posting!

Joysmum · 03/10/2015 11:50

There was a recent study where women who 'squirt' were ultrasounded to ascertain the fullness of their bladder and then had sex and were re scanned. It was found the bladder had emptied to a degree.

It's a contraversial subject though.

Toffeelatteplease · 03/10/2015 11:52

Studies about female ejaculation suggest they do exist but it does contain wee.

This has happened to me twice, a few years ago. It was a big shock and only happened with one particular sexual partner who, forgive the crudeness, had a massive penis and was, um, talented in bed. I always figured his size just meant he was hitting a certain spot that made my bladder release. It was definitely wee but like yours was very dilute.

iloveeverykindofcat · 03/10/2015 12:24

Okay - as long as it's not a sign of some health problem I guess future partners will just have to deal.

I shall just have to prepare them a frank statement: 'If you are really really good, pee and/or assorted liquids containing pee might come out. Is that gonna be an issue or...?' Grin

It's not urine at least mine isn't

Female ejaculation happens (and it makes me giggle a really dirty throaty giggle when it happens to me). When I read the whole "female ejaculation is just urine" I was a bit waaah but it's not urine (DH is a scientist and we tested some). I do tend to get UTIs so I've peed before and after sex for a long time (when it isn't sneaky-middle-of-the-night comfy sex).

It used to only happen with a vibrator. Now happens with DH too (he is very Grin about it) . Only downside is a GIANT wet patch, but that's what towels are for Wink

AyeAmarok · 03/10/2015 15:02

I also read your title as "I come really hard when I pee".

I thought to myself, sometimes when I'm bursting for a pee, the relief is immeasurable when I finally get to go, and it does feel pretty good, although I don't think I quite orgasm from it. Smile

But that isn't what you were asking. Sorry, just thought I'd share.

florencerusty · 03/10/2015 18:51

Good lord it is absolutely female ejaculation and I experience it every time these days although until I was 34 it had never happened! And there is no limit to amount or number of times it seems!

oldaninpurple · 03/10/2015 19:43

The journal of sexual medicine conducted a study (ultrasound of bladder before during and after as well as studying the ejaculate ) that reported that it was in fact urine that was being expelled by women who ejaculate or squirt as its commonly called. I can link if it's allowed?

There are guys who believe they can make any woman squirt and techniques to teach you how to, which only serves to make those who can't feel inferior. It's prevalence in porn, and the impact this has on younger women who are dating guys who have watched porn and are looking for their gushing goddess disturbs me. Personally, who cares what it exactly is, as long as it feels good and you're both having fun.

fastdaytears · 03/10/2015 19:47

Lucky you! Lots of men will really like this, but more importantly it sounds a lot of fun for you!

If there is a bit of pee in there then so what?

BrandNewAndImproved · 03/10/2015 19:48

I think it's wee.

It happens to me with a vibrator sometimes but never irl. Its clear and doesn't smell like wee but I'm pretty sure it is wee.

Nevergoingtolearn · 03/10/2015 21:23

It's female ejaculation not pee Grin, first time it happened to me with now ex dh, I thought I had peed and was very embarrassed, I had to turn to google to find out what was happening.

Squirting seems to be something that man really like, only a few lucky laddies can do it. Since being single and dabbling with online dating I have been asked by several men if I can squirt. Not sure why a man would enjoy it but hey ho Grin

BearFoxBear · 03/10/2015 21:33

Happens to me and no way is it pee!

Notfootball · 03/10/2015 22:14

Happened to me too with one particularly resourceful ex, pretty sure it wasn't wee.

Getuhda348 · 03/10/2015 22:36

Females can ejaculate and i think i remember reading that more recent study shows this contains pee. Squirting is huge in porn so I wouldn't be embarrassed though.

MajesticWhine · 03/10/2015 22:45

DH is a scientist and we tested some
Seriously? did you collect it in a test tube? Wink

OhFuckWhatHaveIDone · 03/10/2015 23:19

Not sure why a man would enjoy it

Because porn.

SilverBadger · 03/10/2015 23:28

Female ejaculation does exist (I know, I've experienced it in circumstances I don't need to go into) but is unusual. Why some men hanker for it is a mystery. It may or not contain/consist of urine, but it certainly isn't nectar.

Women who are prone to it should warn a new partner - as PPs have said, towels are a necessity! And certain sexual positions are undesirable.
