Is it just me or does anyone else and their partner talk into the small hours about total trivia?

Last night we were awake until nearly 1am talking about ... our top ten favourite adverts

We whittled it down to about 15 iirc

Then we were talking about police dramas and which ones I had missed out on because I was too young (I'm 10 years younger than dh)

I would like to say it is a one-off but we do it a lot !

Do you do this too or is it just me and dh who are a little [ahem] sad??

in the car is a good time too. we play silly games like name bands with food in their names or movies alphabetically. I LOVE being married to my best friend!

purplemonkey and shhhh

And how could I forget, the ad from the 80s for Maxwell tapes? With the guy singing "Me ears are alight" (The Israelite) because he couldn't hear the words properly cos he hadn't recorded it onto Maxwell tape. We were giggling for about 10 minutes about that one!!

The Judder man? THE JUDDER MAN?

Scary bloody advert and that Guinness ad. with the scary horses in the sea? Nightmarish stuff Miaou, I'm not surprised you weren't sleeping.

Anyway... I love doing this with DH, don't get as much chance these days (16wks pg and I fall asleep mid-sentence...okay, mid-word). We play top 5's a lot in bed ie one of you says 'Top 5 Christmas films' and the other has to answer without thinking about it too much. Also talk random rubbish for hours on end with so many in-relationship references that nobody would ever decipher it (wouldn't want to either, it's usually twaddle).

GameGirly · 01/12/2006 15:59

Do it all the time, although I suspect OH would say that I witter on about rubbish for hours on end and that he only occasionally gets a word in edgeways.
