Is this something you make a habit of? If so, your boundaries are in need of an urgent overhaul otherwise you may find yourself being taken for more than a ride to a distinctly unpleasant destination.

If not, consider it a lesson learned the hard way and resolve not to be so gullible in future.

Bear in mind that what you're hooking up with online is random strangers and you're best advised to exercise extreme caution until such time as you've had opportunity to suss them out in rl, after having taken sensible precautions to meet in a public place with trusted friend(s) being made aware of your plans and given the stranger's details as you told to you by them.

You should also be extremely wary about giving your address before you've met them, avoid drinking too much alcohol while on a date, and do not invite them to your home until you are confident that they are who and what they claim to be.

This may mean that you don't get to go on many dates, but it's far better to hold out for the quality guys amongst the vast quantity of chancers and tossers who join old sites in the hope of adding more notches to their bedposts, or who want to get their rocks off through sexting and suchlike activities.

Google "false intimacy and the internet". There is something about the internet that lulls us into a false sense of intimacy. We think we somehow "know" someone that we've never met - Facebook "really good friends" who've never met, people who fall in love and then find out it was a spambot. I just felt stupid because I think he publishes photos he receives. But then that's my utter, utter stupidity.

I am not bothered in the slightest by the publishing of erotic literature. I think I panicked last night thinking he may use photos he receives (if he even is a he) to publish.
