Bought back many feelings of the time I found out about dp and his infidelities.

When she was searching in the boot of the car and the realisation of what had been going on, that! The whole 'throbbing' in the head feeling, awful!

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel and 3 years later I'm proof of that.

Wow! That really hit home.

It was quite good

I think Suranne Jones is a fab actress. You can see every emotion playing out in her face.
I didn't see the first series. Was her marriage OK then?

AmazonGrace · 09/09/2015 22:35

She's a great actress, I believed what she was going through and having gone through it myself it took me right back to that foggy existence.

The only part I had a Hmm moment with was when she asked a patient to follow her husband. Apart from that I thought she did a great job of portraying a woman trusting her instincts.

As far as I'm aware this is the first episode, Clam.

Ah, OK. When it said 'New Series' I assumed it was a new as in moving on from the old, if you see what I mean. Couldn't quite work out how there would have been a previous.

Heelsdown · 09/09/2015 22:59

Could be his daughter. Good acting though.

AmazonGrace · 09/09/2015 23:02

Of course Shock will watch the drama unfold next week.

I didn't mean to watch it, thought it was going to be some nicey-but-real GP going about her duties. It was bloody good though, I'm glad I did. And yes, there were 3 or 4 times when I held my breath - like when she doubled back from taking the tea to bed to check his phone and that moment in the car. So well portrayed of that madness you feel as your life starts falling apart. Sorry for you Amazon for the pain it bought back and me too, to a lesser extent I've been through similar. Have set up a series link now for the rest, can't wait to see where it goes.

CQ · 09/09/2015 23:15

Watched it completely riveted. DH too. Love Suranne Jones.

Interested to see how they can string out a whole series now with her slow and crazy revenge.

GaryBaldy · 09/09/2015 23:15

There is another thread in telly addicts about it and I made a similar comment when lots of people were saying how implausible and ludicrous it was.

Until you have been through that desperate craving for crumbs of information, searching to find justification for your searching, or the reassurance and frustration of finding nothing...it's all consuming.

AmazonGrace · 09/09/2015 23:22

Thanks Gin, I'm in a much better place now and stronger than I ever though I'd be, hope you are too Smile

Dp & I worked through the devastation he brought into our lives, it's been a real journey but one which has made me sit up, take stock and know that nothing will ever hurt me in such a way again.

Gary, the hair on the scarf was eerily similar to when I suspected dp, I can remember so well finding long dark hairs on some of dp clothing, I'm blonde.

It was very well done. The throbbing music was exactly how the inside of me head felt when things just didn't add up.

CQ, next week will be interesting.

I have never been cheated on (one of the few things I haven't suffered), and it had me on edge, so I really feel for those who have been through it. It must have been hard to watch.

I love Suranne Jones.

The moment in the boot when she sees the texts etc had my heart racing. Its heartbreaking.

Interested to see what happens, and why everyone around her seems to be in on it.

AmazonGrace · 09/09/2015 23:37

Suranne Jones was fantastic.

Yeah she played it well
I know the feeling too- but also when your friends are in on it, double betrayal

Funny- I found out the night before my 40th birthday party

AmazonGrace · 10/09/2015 00:00

Beach, I found out all the sorry details the night before my birthday too. Had arranged to have a day with all my family, still went, dp told them everything.

It was an interesting day.

I really related to it too. I had done so many similar things looking for clues once I suspected and my instincts were right. Almost checking the phone and then not (but later did)...looking everywhere in his car for another phone, looking for hairs, looking through dustbins, loads of stuff. All sounds crazy but until you are in that situation you don't know how obsessed you will become about finding more and more evidence.
