Does your DH/P (or do you) pitch hissys? (somewhat lighthearted)

This is a no-judgement, non-LTB question as I'm just curious. My own DH pitches loud hissy fits (I think you'd all say throwing a strop/toys out the pram). He's not doing it at us, he's doing it to and at himself or an inanimate or lost object. In other words, very annoying but not 'dangerous', iyswim. I tend to be a quiet 'fumer/mutterer' in the same situation. He thinks he's in the majority of people, I think I am.

So 'fess up. Which kind of person are you/your partner? Do you fume quietly at those lost keys/broken doorknob or do you curse it to high heaven?

i dont think he IS doing it to himself

Its like cats only purring when humans are there, he is making a point to you.

SurlyCue · 06/09/2015 17:19

Depends what it is. Ive found myself telling the door handle to "fuck off bastard" when it was sticking and other such explosions of frustration. Often when nobody is in so not making a point to anyone.

BrendaandEddie · 06/09/2015 17:20

i dont really get angry like this,

What do you get angry about?

SurlyCue · 06/09/2015 17:23

Me? Things like dropping the fabric softener so it busts and leaks all over the floor. The bastard sticking door handle which means i cant open the door. People knocking my wing mirror off (happens loads on my street).

BrendaandEddie · 06/09/2015 17:25

i might say ' oh fgs' but I wouldnt get like ANGRY

Neither of us do either of these things! A bit quiet when worried, and just discuss disagreements if and when they happen (rare). Can't be doing with all the drama and PA stuff, sort it out, move on, done.

I mutter, sometimes get cross when its TOTM Smile

AcrossthePond55 · 06/09/2015 19:25

Thing is Brendan, he does it when he thinks no one is around to hear him, too. I've heard him 'scolding' himself out in the garage; 'FFS, you idiot, you fucking KNOW where that screwdriver is, you just HAD the damn thing'.

operaha, we discuss things calmly too. What I'm wondering is how many people pitch fits at themselves or inanimate objects out of frustration. I don't, DH does. Just wondering which of us is weird Wink.

that then is Quite Weird

Oh yes I do. Not daily or anything but sometimes inanimate objects are total bastards and need to be told. It's not usually aimed at myself, but has been known.
