Confused and feeling low

Shocked to find my best friends number being called when I am not at home. DH has always been extremely secretive and often lies so I know he will lie if I ask him about it. How can I find out what's going on?

It could also be accidental mis dialling if just once if not are there any other things going on that are raising a red flag with you?

Permanentlybewildered · 01/09/2015 07:54

It's not just once but loads of times. He also visits the shop where she works when I am in the shower etc.

How do you know he visits the shop where she works when you are in the shower??

What do you think is going on, what does history tell you?

OneDayWhenIGrowUp · 01/09/2015 08:18

Can you expand a bit on "he often lies"?

Permanentlybewildered · 01/09/2015 11:27

He waits until I am occupied then calls out "just going to the shop". Normally we shop together.

He tells me he's going to a meeting then I find out he hasn't actually gone where he said he was.

Have you asked your friend?

Permanentlybewildered · 01/09/2015 12:03

Asked if he had contacted her for help whilst I was away and she said no but she seems to be avoiding me and things just don't feel right somehow. Don't want to go off half cocked if I am just being paranoid but just feel that something isn't right.

How long has this been going on do you think? If not long, are they planning something for you?

DragonsCanHop · 01/09/2015 12:16

Gut instinct is normal right.

Do you receive phone bills? You can request them if not, is your name on the contract?

goddessofsmallthings · 01/09/2015 14:00

How long have you been married and is your best friend married too? Do you and her have dc?

Permanentlybewildered · 01/09/2015 22:59

Looks like it's been going on for almost a year. She is married with 2DC's at Uni. I've been married over 30 years and DH has never organised a surprise for me. My 3 DC's have left home and are in relationships. My name is not on the phone contract.
