He left...help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH has left. Literally an hour ago. Have never spent a night alone in a house...never! Help! Every sound seems like a break in. I can't sleep. Help!

To clarify: when I say left, I mean he had left for good apparently.

Practical things first: Put the telly on or some music, low volume to distract you from any noises. All houses make noises, sometimes quite strange ones. But they are just noises from the boiler, pipework, or even just the house "breathing" a bit (as I like to think).

Make yourself a hot, milky drink. Focus on getting some sleep. Tomorrow will be another day.

He came back. Has been angry all day. Apparently he is leaving tonight for good.

And by 'came back' I mean that he came back at about 1am this morning.
