i was sexually assaulted by a man in a law position many years ago and it has haunted me ever since. I made the decision to tell the police and after many months they have decided to bring no charge. I am upset, confused. Between being relieved but angry he has gotten away with it. Please help me to sort my head out

Oh leafitout, I didn't want to read and run. This must be extremely hard to deal with especially after it took you so long to build up the courage you needed to report it. But well done to you for being so brave. Would counselling help you to deal with this do you think? Is it a route you're willing to try?

I think you really need to talk to somebody. Is there a friend or family or even your GP you could talk to?

A brave decision to out him although nothing has been done this time at least they have logged the complaint and maybe prove helpful if others come forward, could you approach any of the law societies and see if they could move for a disrepute charge at the very least if he was a lawyer?
